Christmas'09 Decoration Contest Entry

The Hugyawan 2009 launched a Christmas Decoration Contest by Department. Days after the announcement we made our manger and christmas tree. But as the days went by, more and more ideas came into reality. The final judging will be tomorrow and these are our entries to the contest:

- The Belen (Manger) -

- closer view of the manger -

- Our Christmas Tree -

All entries should at be made at least 80% from materials found in their respective departments. We used here the student's thesis submitted to the Academic Dean's Office.

- Our newspaper stand got dressed up, too! -

I want to go around the hospital floors later tonight to check out their entries. Hope to see them lighted. I know they are very eye catching, too.

I will announced the winners maybe on Ruby Tuesday next week. :)

Ruby Tuesday # 2

I love Fireworks!

Got them from my photo archive and memories of Chinese NY 2005 creeps back to my mind. This was taken when the clock struck midnight 12. New in China brings out colorful fireworks as well as so much noise. But the next day, the night beauty turned into a dull gray (dust). I took this photo with my close Canadian buddy. We had noodles and chocolate cookies after taking the shoot and oh, we watched movies too. :)

Pagkaing Pinoy (Filipino Food)

It was mom's birthday and we managed to get some food for her birthday. With the help of dimple, and mom's buddy, my nephew and also a neice later, we had a happy dinner at 6 pm. we feasted on the following food:

-- mom's cake. see the 66 in it? it was her 66th bday. --

--the bihon guisado from Chandy's. i opted for an order coz it can
save cooking gas and the time. :D--

-- a dish specially made for mama. That's minus oil ha. i cooked the
onion and carlic in a lil amount of water and
added the vegetables.
it's the asparagus soup powder that gave it the nice smell and taste.--

--pineapple! the best. :)--
