Sepia Scenes # 6

Photobucket

This is part of the Great Wall of China. Located in Zhangjiakou City, a city located Northwest of Beijing. Used to protect China from the Mongols of long time back. This wall is situated within the city then it goes up and down the mountain range.

This is an old photo taken in 2005. Around after winter just before the Chinese New Year 2005.

Originally colored and used Photobucket to have the sepia tone.

The sepia tone makes the wall look quite haunting and imposing! Unnervingly beautiful!

You couldn't have chosen anything more historic for a sepia photo this week! This picture in sepia is timeless ... it could have been done a long time ago!

@ Elaine - well if you walk through the whole GW it's no joke. bt each place or point of entry has an area to walk on. It's so cool!

Greyscale - it looks more interesting in sepia tone than in colored.

Shinade - it's an exciting experience to see the GW. Try to visit the GW with an entry in Beijing. The wall is much grand.

@ Mary - the city where this part of the wall is found is where i taught during the last yaer i was in China. to get there is less than a dollar by bus and around 5 dollars by taxi but i only went there once when a Canadian friend came by. :)
