Ruby Tuesday # 26

Photobucket

I feasted on these fruits yesterday noontime. I thought i will just have all of that but the roasted beef was so tempting so i had some bits of the meat and ate it with the pineapple tidbits. The taste made me invent a recipe in my mind and maybe in the future i can be able to make it.

More reds at Ruby Tuesday's home blog. here. Happy Tuesday!

LP - Sapatos

Photobucket

Watery Wednesday # 15

Photobucket

This is partly the view of famous Dakak Beach Resort in Dapitan, Philippines. When i face the sea, this is the view to my right. And the photo below is the view to my left. The view is breathtaking, the water is so cool to the touch. We have spent almost 4 hours there but we just drool on the thought that somehow we could enjoy swimming water. We did not go swimming because it was a rule not to swim. For safety reasons, we visited the place just for enjoying the view.

Ruby Tuesday # 24

Photobucket

Her creativity caught me with surprise. She used this beautiful as a hair accessory. She did it one no-class day and just spend time lazing around. When i saw her so relaxed watching TV with that flower in her fair - i then thought of taking her photo for RT. :)

Her she is, with black hair and a red flower perched on top her bun and using a pillow covered with a green pillowcase. Can you guess what she is doing?

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Houses of Dr. Jose Rizal in Dapitan

The 16 hectares of land owned by Dr. Jose Rizal is now turned into a Shrine where it is always visited by visitors from far and wide.

Stepping on Rizal Shrine's ground is a dream come true for me. For this first set of pictures although i have already posted some in my Red Tuesday and Watery Wednesday entry, i will be posting the 2 of the 3 houses Rizal built in this land.

The main house has only 1 bedroom. My camera is just a phone cam so it does not do good in darkened places. I was very much impressed by the sorroundings so it took me time to go up the house and see what's there....so here's a not so good photo of Rizal's bedroom.

I asked the caretakers if the bed is still original. They said no. it's just a replica.

This is the verandah. Both sides of the house have a big space that looks like a veranda.

A view of the house from the pool area. The pool that Rizal made.

This & That at Rizal Shrine, Dapitan

During the week-end, i had a once in a lifetime experience and that is traveling to Dipolog City and Dapitan City with the a group of students who visited the place to see traces of life and works of Dr. Jose Rizal, the National Hero of the Philippines.

I have tons of pictures from numerous places we've been to but in this post i will share here some from the Rizal Shrine - photos with a bit of red and something watery. :)

Dr. Jose Rizal stayed in this piece of land more than a hundred years ago while he was exiled in Dapitan. How i wished those wooden bamboo buildings were original. But nah there was no more original but all the replicas was of the same size and form.

The Shrine is situated facing the sea and it is so relaxing to spend time there. The place is full of plants and trees and the view of the sea at sunrise and sunset for sure is very fulfilling. We only experienced the sunset and it was breathtaking.

Now for watery entry -

-- This is the pool made by Jose Rizal. The only original thing left of what he made. I can imagine him enjoying a dip here when the day is very humid.

Photobucket

-- a lil pool for fishes below the Lover's Rock. It's great to watch the sunset from the top of the Lover's Rock. For sure, Jose Rizal and the love his life that time enjoyed many quiet moments there as the watch the sun go down.
