Watery Wednesday # 18

It's been raining every afternoon since the week-end and last Monday it rained so hard that it flood some low places. Even one bridge in the downtown area was covered and people and transpo crossing it were stranded for several hours. When i arrived home, this is what i saw:

That watery part is quite deep so i need to wear boots. I called on my family and my cousin cousin rode his bicycle to bring me the boots.

Only that part in the compound that was not covered with water. The water was almost to our floor area -- good thing the rain stopped just as soon as it was about to enter. :)

That's quite deep and i was enjoying the water because i had a boots on.

I hope there is no flood going on around your place this time. The rain today did not caused flood and i pray for a cool weather in the coming days.

Please click on the widget above for more watery photos taken from around the world. :)

Sorry you had so much rain. Wish you could have sent some of it this way. I think it's going to be a long, very dry year for us.

A kid, a bike and a puddle - how could he resist!

I think we should improve our drainage system to keep the water from overflowing during the rainy season.

@Nature Ramblings -- we are always so lucky the water stayed out of the house everytime it floods. The weather is so unpredictable here that it was sooo hot today. :)

I'm so glad it did not flood your house. Great that you had the presence of mind to take the pictures.

Sounds like you had an exciting time - I love the action shot of the boot-courier on the bike.
