Houses of Dr. Jose Rizal in Dapitan

The 16 hectares of land owned by Dr. Jose Rizal is now turned into a Shrine where it is always visited by visitors from far and wide.

Stepping on Rizal Shrine's ground is a dream come true for me. For this first set of pictures although i have already posted some in my Red Tuesday and Watery Wednesday entry, i will be posting the 2 of the 3 houses Rizal built in this land.

The main house has only 1 bedroom. My camera is just a phone cam so it does not do good in darkened places. I was very much impressed by the sorroundings so it took me time to go up the house and see what's there....so here's a not so good photo of Rizal's bedroom.

I asked the caretakers if the bed is still original. They said no. it's just a replica.

This is the verandah. Both sides of the house have a big space that looks like a veranda.

A view of the house from the pool area. The pool that Rizal made.

These are very interesting. That bed looks so fancy for such a small hut. I will have to look up and read more about Dr. Rizal. You have made me interested.
