Watery Wednesday # 15

Photobucket

This is partly the view of famous Dakak Beach Resort in Dapitan, Philippines. When i face the sea, this is the view to my right. And the photo below is the view to my left. The view is breathtaking, the water is so cool to the touch. We have spent almost 4 hours there but we just drool on the thought that somehow we could enjoy swimming water. We did not go swimming because it was a rule not to swim. For safety reasons, we visited the place just for enjoying the view.

Definitely looks like paradise!
I wouldn't care if I couldn't swim - the view is worth just sitting on the white sand.

This is actually where we spent our honeymoon so many years ago! :)

Nice to see it's still open. Thought it might have closed permanently after Jalosjos got jailed.

But why didn't you go swimming?

Thanks for visiting my blog! Great shot for WW!

Enchanting! I feel like I've landed in "Dr. Doolittle" or "South Pacific." I'm sorry for the no swim rule, but I guess they have the rule for a reason. Thanks for sharing.

The curve of the beach in the second shot is very compelling. Lovely line! Both shots say "paradise" though.

@ Hilda - wow it's a pleasure to remind you of a place which is very memorable to you. I think it was not permanently closed since the Jalosjos case. The place is still open, though not much flocked by local tourist because of it's very expensive services. Celebrities and foreign tourists enjoys the place so much. (Para na rin kaming celebs! no we just spent some hours there. we can't afford to stay the night)

@ Everyone --

The reason of no swimming -

This trip actually is work related. I was one of the faculty and staff of our school who chaperoned 318 students (History V class) in this educational trip. To really ensure the safety of the students it was agreed that swimming is not allowed or we would have a hard time controlling them once they are in the water. Swimming is not allowed or else the will not be approved by our school.

But anyhow we all had fun taking pictures of this unspoiled Paradise.

Currently they are fixing the road going up to Dakak Resort for the convenience and comfort of travellers but somehow i hope that if the place gets too commercialized, it will not destroy the natural beauty everyone is enjoying for the past years.

Thank you all for dropping by my entry this week.
